In August 2019, the NT Government announced "A $10 million capital grant to the Cullen Bay Marina Management Corporation is funding made available through specific infrastructure grant funding from 2017-18. Transforming Cullen Bay will include greening, cooling and making the area more pedestrian friendly by connecting businesses with the Marina and the beach. It will work in tangent with Darwin’s Civic and State Square precinct revitalisation, which is being undertaken as part of the $200 million Cities Deal. Work on revitalising Cullen Bay is expected to create 60-80 jobs, lift the attractiveness of the precinct and generate income for local businesses through increased visitation to restaurants and retail outlets."

Johnny Cool were approached by Brustolin Builders in February 2020 to price the electrical works, by April we had been awarded the contract and works commenced onsite immediately.

The final handover was completed in early December 2020, just in time to show off Cullen Bay's wonderful Christmas decorations. 

Johnny Cool will remain close to the project throughout the 12 months post handover for maintenance and defect rectification.
